1907, 106 W. Mantua Ave.

taxo:

This house is listed as being built in 1885 by Thomas Randolph.

On the card it is listed as being the home of H.B. Coles with the back of the having a note saying the photo was taken in September 1907.

There is a good chance that H.B. Coles is buried in Wenonah Cemetery. He was married in Wenonah in 1898. On the 1900 US Census he is listed as a bookkeeper for an iron foundry. In 1910 he was a bookkeeper for a "real estate shop." In 1920 he was listed as bookkeeper for a department store. He and his wife Josephine had two sons, Ellison and Joseph.

The house is still standing but the appearance is somewhat different because the "tower" has been shortened.
