People more familiar with the WHS collections may recognize this real photo post card, but it is new to me. I wonder if repairs to the railroad tracks were being made and everyone had to get transfer to buses when they reached Wenonah? If you know what was going on in the photo from what I estimate to be the 1940s please share your information. The card is currently available on ebay.

Yes, '40s- Washout of the Wenonah Trestle. Tracks were left literally hanging in the air. Buses had to take you down the line.

Bob Thomas I don't see it on on the inventory logs, but I believe there are post cards that have not yet been inventoried. I'd be surprised if we did not have a copy.

Author Looks like "Arthur Parvin" to me.

Author According to WWII draft cards there was an Arthur Parvin who was self-employed in a trucking business in Penns Grove, NJ in 1942.
