The first pin has the academy motto.
"Vincit Que Se Vincit"
Roughly translated that means, "He conquers who conquers himself." This motto emphasizes control of the self. Here's a link to another school with the same motto.

This poster may be of interest. I believe it was put together by Jack Sheppard Sr shortly after the original desk bell from the Wenonah House was donated to the Wenonah Historical Society. It answers a common question that I have heard ... What was the progression from the Wenonah House to the Wenonah Inn to the Wenonah Military Academy?

Major League Baseball Hall-of-Famer Herb Pennock is listed in the above Wenonah Military Academy Honor Roll (Class of 1911). Herb started in the major leagues pitching for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1912. His hall-of-fame plaque in Cooperstown, NY notes the jump from prep school (Wenonah Military Academy) to the majors.

In that year Wenonah was unbeaten and unscored upon until the last game of the season. They scored 348 points to their opponents 6.

This photo distributed by "Wide World Photo" and printed in the "Buffalo Evening News" on Dec 12, 1928 bears the following caption:

Cadets of the Wenonah Military academy at Wenonah, Pa., [sic] made real use of the first snow storm there. The annual push ball battle is always held on this occasion.
